INTRODUCTION

PLEASE TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF AND THE BUSINESS YOU STARTED.

Hi, I’m Fathiya Fousseni, a founder of She Wins mastermind.

I was born and raised in Italy, originally African. I always had my parents look after me, and I never had a job until the age of 19. That’s when we moved to London.

I was excited and open to new opportunities, so I started working as a fundraiser for a charity, and that’s when I realised that I was looking for something more in my life, but I didn’t know what that was.

A couple of months later, I met my mentor, who at the time was a total stranger to me. He has offered me a business opportunity and that’s how everything got started.

He introduced me to marketing and the world of personal development.

I quickly fell in love with the industry, and 28 months later built a 6 figure business. I fell in love with the challenge, helping others succeed and the goal of building something out of nothing.

I never thought of being an entrepreneur or having my own business, It just happened.

I believe what made me take the leap into entrepreneurship was the desire to not settle for less than I wanted, and the desire to make an impact in the world.

I’m now a business strategist, and the Founder of  She wins mastermind, a global community for female entrepreneurs, to connect, get support and grow their business.

She wins mastermind platform is all about empowering women and providing the right strategies for online marketing, personal branding, social media and helping female entrepreneurs cut through the online marketing noise and build a brand that stands out and a thriving business.

My mission is to make sure others don’t go through the same struggles that I had to go through in my first year in business and instead learn the strategies that really work and fast track their success.

We have new products and services that adapt to the changes happening on the market but our main product is the She wins membership with over 1000 female entrepreneurs where we provide ongoing support, strategies and systems to build and grow an online brand.

WHAT DOES YOUR TYPICAL DAY LOOK LIKE AND HOW DO YOU STAY PRODUCTIVE?

I wake up around 7 am and practice my 10-minute meditation routine. Then I have my morning green smoothie and start my day. I am obsessed with planning and organisation.

I believe that’s what helps me stay productive during the day.

My go-to planning software is Trello, and that’s how I organise my workflow. I usually work on creating content for my membership club, my programs, my social media platforms and a podcast.

THE JOURNEY SO FAR

PLEASE DESCRIBE THE PROCESS OF LAUNCHING YOUR BUSINESS.

The first business I started was network marketing, and that was a learning experience and helped me learn most of the communication skills and the importance of personal development.

I started that first business with 500 pounds.

After one year, I decided to build my consultancy business from scratch. I did everything myself, including my website and spent around £200 and scaled that business to 6 figures.

After all those learning experiences, I decided to build the She wins mastermind platform. I came up with the project and the brand name when I was on holiday in Bali.

I was working on one of my other businesses when one of my clients messaged me asking for help regarding her website.

That’s when I realised the importance of consistent accountability and support for women entrepreneurs.

When designing the She Wins mastermind platform, I had the struggles in my first year in business. I thought about all the things I wish I had when I first started my business.

The main things were guidance, coaching, ongoing support and community.

So I created a space where women can have all these things and never feel alone when building a business.

The feedback was amazing, and we are now serving women from over 18 countries.

WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR BIGGEST ACHIEVEMENT AND YOUR BIGGEST CHALLENGE SINCE YOU STARTED YOUR BUSINESS?

The biggest challenge I had to overcome as an entrepreneur was asking for help. I  like doing everything by myself, but entrepreneurship is something that requires you to get help to grow. So learning to delegate is the biggest lesson I learned. In my first year of business, I didn’t believe in myself, I thought many times “I can’t do this”.

Moving from a  place of insecurity to the confident woman I am today is one of my greatest accomplishments. Thanks to that, I’ve gained financial freedom and time freedom while helping other women succeed.

WHAT STRATEGY DID YOU USE TO GROW YOUR BUSINESS? AND HOW?

I use my signature 5 steps success blueprint to constantly grow my business.

Step 1. Have a goal-setting strategy. This is essential as it gives you clarity of direction, and keeps you focused on where you are going.

Step 2. Have a community-building strategy. This is something that most people tend to neglect. In today’s online space, building a community for your product or service is a determining factor to make your business profitable.

Step 3. Have a marketing strategy. You absolutely need to master online marketing skills that work for your industry. In my business, I use webinars, videos and podcasts. Because that’s what my audience consumes.

Step 4. Have a Brand Strategy. This is important as it helps you share your brand message and the purpose of your business. People don’t have face to face experiences with you, so it’s important to create a brand strategy that will make your ideal customer feel like they know you.

Step 5. Create systems and processes. Whether you are a solo entrepreneur, or you have a team, it is important to systematise your business. This allows you to be productive as your business grows but also makes it easier to delegate work when you need to. You want to build a business that doesn’t depend on you.

WHAT IS YOUR VISION FOR THE FUTURE OF BUSINESS?

I love this question! Our goal is #EMPOWERING1MILLION, because we are on a mission to empower one million women to start their online business, and I’m really excited about this because I love the freedom that having an online business gives you, and I want that for all the women out there.

RECOMMENDATIONS & FINAL THOUGHTS

ARE THERE ANY RESOURCES OR TOOLS YOU WOULD LIKE TO SHARE WITH OTHERS THAT HAVE HELPED YOU RUN YOUR BUSINESS?

Yes! She wins membership for all the coaches, course creators and entrepreneurs to get a clear roadmap to build their business.

I’d like to share my favourite software Trello for organisation and Canva for all creative graphics.

WHAT OR WHO HAS BEEN YOUR GREATEST INFLUENCE IN BUSINESS AND WHY?

Camilita Nuttall is the coach that has been the greatest influence in my life. She helped me realise how much potential I have and helped me gain the confidence that I needed to succeed.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO OTHER WOMEN WHO WANT TO START THEIR OWN BUSINESS?

Take action right now. Start learning the skills you need and start building your business today. You will never feel ready, the timing will never be perfect. You just need to get started.

The second advice I have is to find a coach or mentor that has achieved what you want to achieve and follow their guidance. This will help you cut through the struggle and make your journey easier.

WHAT BUSINESS IDEA DO YOU HAVE THAT YOU ARE WILLING TO SHARE WITH OTHERS?

A podcast society where everybody can come and share their ideas that will impact and change the world in different aspects.

IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE TO SHARE WITH OUR READERS?

Yes, if you want more in your life, go for it! Know that it is possible for everybody.

Aim to be successful. For me, success means understanding that I have the power to be who I want to be. It means being fulfilled and is the feeling that you have when you are doing something that you are passionate about and that you love.
